The role will involve:
- Sales Manager role, selling a manufactured range of permanent GRP formwork products for bridges
- Dealing with main contractors, subcontractors, architects, and specifying consultants
- Managing and developing sales strategies
- Building, fostering, and developing relationships with clients
- Chasing new business, as no project is the same
- Arranging CPDs for the Head of Sales
- Liaising with Estimating, Production, and Design teams to ensure deadlines are met and projects run smoothly
- Occasionally attending client visits and CPDs (1-2 overnight stays per month)
- Contributing to the UK sales target, roughly bringing in circa £3.5m per year
The ideal applicant will:
- Have extensive outbound sales experience within the construction industry
- Experience within the civils or structures market sector is advantageous
- Experience selling into main contractors, architects, and specifying consultants is preferred
- Be proactive with excellent organisational skills
- Proficiency with a CRM system is essential
- IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Motivated and seeking a career
- Stable career background, with no job hoppers
