Job Title: Electrical Bias Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Electrical Bias Engineer to join our team in Bristol.
The successful candidate will be able to install and maintain new plant and equipment when required, ensuring that plant faults and defects are swiftly rectified.
Role Summary:
- React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLAs.
- Possess technical awareness of computer room, call centre, trader operations, and experience with power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling, etc.
- Apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environments.
- Provide emergency response standby and call-out services.
- Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
- Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies in accordance with the SLA.
- Ensure all critical engineering maintenance documentation and records are kept up to date.
- Undertake site surveys and produce work requests, method statements, and risk assessments for planned works.
- Understand and interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes, and O&Ms.
- Complete all reactive helpdesk requests.
- Review and submit actions to the Technical Services Manager, ensuring documentation is reviewed and completed.
- Enter relevant quotes and remedial works into the in-house system.
Experience Required:
- Must be 17th/18th Edition Qualified.
- Experience in facilities management is desirable.
- Recent experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of CDM processes.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills at all levels.
- Proven excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to organize and manage assigned tasks and materials.
- Experience with H&S procedures and requirements, including COSHH, working at heights, and risk assessments.
- Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH and/or NEBOSH.
- Experience in testing and inspecting electrical systems.
- Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out activities and protocols.
- Understanding of utility monitoring and environmental programs.
