Drainage Engineer
Metro Rod Coventry & Leicester

Salary £27,500 plus overtime and on-call.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading drain clearance and maintenance service providers, operating through over 60 franchisees nationwide. We have over thirty years of experience in drain unblocking and are known for quality service and customer satisfaction. Major companies and high street brands trust us for their drain maintenance needs, and we aim to uphold these high standards for all clients.

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, we also have Willow Pumps and Filta, which focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, these brands offer a comprehensive water and waste management service.

What does the role involve?

• Performing services related to cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining clients' drains.
• Operating High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment following strict safety standards.
• Conducting surveys.
• Providing excellent customer service and technical support.
• Accurately recording work details using internal and client systems.
• Communicating effectively with clients and support centre colleagues to ensure high service standards.
• Participating in an on-call rota to provide 24/7/365 service, approximately one week in four, subject to business needs.

What experience are we looking for?

• Experience with high-pressure water jetting.
• Surveying experience.
• At least 2 years' experience in commercial drainage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
• A positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Desire to grow within a progressive business.
• Willingness to work some unsociable hours.
• Valid UK driving licence.
