Drainage Engineer
Metro Rod Coventry & Leicester
Salary: £27,500 plus overtime and on-call.

Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and its sister company Metro Plumb are leading drain clearance and maintenance service providers, operating through over 60 franchisees across the UK. With over thirty years of experience, we are proud of our reputation for quality and customer satisfaction, serving major companies and high street brands for drain maintenance needs.

Within Franchise Brands' Waste & Water Services Division, we also have Willow Pumps and Filta, focusing on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions, providing a comprehensive water and waste management service.

What does the role involve?

1. Performing services related to cleaning, clearing, repairing, and maintaining customer drains.
2. Operating High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment safely and effectively.
3. Conducting surveys of drainage systems.
4. Delivering excellent customer service and technical support.
5. Accurately documenting work details using internal and client systems.
6. Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure high service standards.
7. Participating in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 service, approximately one week in four, subject to business needs.

What experience are we looking for?

1. Experience with high-pressure water jetting.
2. Surveying experience.
3. At least 2 years of experience in commercial drainage.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and technical knowledge.
5. A positive, flexible attitude and a proactive approach.
6. Willingness to work some unsociable hours.
7. Full UK driving license.
