Logistics Team Leader - National Theatre

Logistics Team Leader | National Theatre London £30,882 per annum

Purpose

Are you a natural leader passionate about smooth operations? As a Logistics Team Leader, you'll ensure stock and supplies are managed efficiently, accurately, and safely. Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, you'll lead a team to receive, store, pick, and dispatch goods while maintaining food safety standards. You'll drive productivity, foster a positive environment, and support operational targets.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with NT Food & Drink departments to meet stock and equipment needs.
  2. Manage and deliver food, beverage, and supply orders with clear communication.
  3. Prepare venue stock for peak periods, ensuring team readiness.
  4. Oversee supplier relationships and order processing accuracy.
  5. Maintain stockroom organization, rotation, and compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Support staff training, stock audits, and monthly stock takes.
  7. Assist with event stock and equipment setup and breakdown.
  8. Uphold NT Food & Drink policies, health & safety standards, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar logistics or warehouse management role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Adaptability to changing work patterns.
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills.
  • Knowledge of health & safety, food safety, and COSHH regulations.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene certification.
  • Tech-savvy (preferred): experience with EPOS, Goodtill, Food Buy.
  • Availability for flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
