Job summary

ED Patient Co Ordinator

An opportunity has arisen for a position within the Emergency Department ( ED) as a Patient Co Ordinator joining our supportive and friendly team. This vacancy will involve working a shift pattern covering a variety of shifts to include days, nights, evenings and weekends. We are looking for an individual who is flexible and has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure in an extremely busy department and consistently work to a high standard of efficiency. Previous ED experience is not essential as full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

The Post Holder is responsible for updating Careflow so that the system accurately shows the position of the Department .

Track patients through the Department and remove patients from the computer system in a timely manner.

Communicate with all levels of hospital staff , outside agencies and members of the public in a professional and effective manner
