Job summary

Albany Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency Department for the night shift. The LPN provides direct patient care under supervision and supports the health care team with accurate data collection and timely communication.

Responsibilities include administering medications and vaccines as policy, observing and recording patient status, and assisting with care coordination.

Qualifications

• Vocational School Diploma Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse academic nursing program.
• Minimum of 1 year of continuous experience as an LPN.
• LPN - NYS Licensure Upon Hire - required.
• Ability to communicate cooperatively and effectively with patients, family members, employees, and others.

Responsibilities

• Code of Conduct: The LPN will adhere to Albany Medical Center Code of Conduct.
• Health Measurement: Participates in collection of holistic assessment data under supervision.
• Planning: Collaborates with health care team to develop and revise the care plan.
