Job Title: ECT Primary Teacher
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £150 - £230 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate and motivated ECT Primary Teacher looking to start your teaching career in a dynamic and supportive school environment?

GSL Education are seeking enthusiastic and committed ECT Primary Teacher to join a primary school in Sheffield from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching journey with flexible work options and long-term placements.

As an Early Career Primary Teacher, you will teach across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, building confidence in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum delivery. You will work closely with experienced colleagues and benefit from the guidance of senior leaders and mentors who are committed to your professional growth and early success.

Key Responsibilities of an ECT Primary Teacher:

• Deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that motivate and inspire students
• Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour using consistent strategies
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support colleagues to meet pupil needs
• Monitor and report on pupil progress, providing targeted support where necessary
• Encourage a love of learning and promote academic achievement

Requirements for ECT Primary Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
• Proven experience working with primary-aged children as a ECT Primary Teacher is desirable.
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum (KS1 and KS2) with the ability to deliver engaging lessons.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Adaptability to different school settings and diverse pupil needs
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
