Are you an ECT primary teacher who wants to network your skills in the Blackburn and Lancashire area? At Hays, we have a variety of popular and well-respected schools already seeking enthusiastic ECTs for full-time posts. We are looking for ECTs who can teach engaging and dynamic lessons across the curriculum in their specific subject. The role is required to start in September 2025.

Your new role

As an ECT/NQT, you will work with primary schools across various areas in Blackburn & Lancashire. The positions we offer require previous relevant experience. You may be expected to follow lesson plans as well as deliver them. We can offer day-to-day positions, short-term contracts, as well as longer-term and permanent opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this position, you must hold qualified teacher status (QTS) or be on your way to obtaining it. You should be enthusiastic, approachable, and able to hit the ground running to make a difference. A good knowledge of EYFS, KS1, or KS2 curriculums is also key, and you should be able to evidence this with your teaching placements.
