Crawley Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic Economic Development Officer to help drive regeneration and business growth. You will work with local businesses, investors and partners to deliver initiatives that boost economic opportunities in the borough.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining home working with two days per week in the office, plus development opportunities and a chance to work on high‑profile projects that benefit Crawley communities.

About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and highly motivated Economic Development Officer to join our Economic Development and Regeneration Team.

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will work with businesses, investors, developers, public sector partners and community stakeholders to support economic growth and deliver projects that make a tangible difference to the borough.

What you will be doing

• support the development and delivery of economic development, regeneration and business support initiatives
• build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, partner organisations and key stakeholders
• help promote Crawley as a destination for investment, business growth and innovation
• coordinate and deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring objectives, budgets and timescales are met
• research and analyse economic trends, policies and opportunities to inform decision‑making and strategy
• represent us at meetings, events and networking opportunities, acting as an ambassador for Crawley
