Job summary

Crawley Borough Council is seeking an enthusiastic Economic Development Officer to join the Economic Development and Regeneration Team in Crawley. This varied role involves working with businesses, investors and stakeholders to drive regeneration, support growth and deliver projects that benefit the borough.

Based in the Town Hall, the role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, combining home working with office days, opportunities for professional development and a supportive team

• Understanding of economic development issues at local, regional and national level.
• Experience developing productive partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with senior stakeholders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of economic development, regeneration and business support initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, partner organisations and key stakeholders.
• Help promote Crawley as a destination for investment, business growth and innovation.
• Coordinate and deliver projects from inception to completion, ensuring objectives, budgets and timescales are met.
• Research and analyse economic trends, policies and opportunities to inform decision-making and strategy.
• Represent us at meetings, events and networking opportunities, acting as an ambassador for Crawley.
