Job summary

An Ecommerce Demand Planner is needed to manage demand forecasting and stock planning for online sales in the manufacturing sector. This role plays a key part in ensuring the supply chain runs smoothly and efficiently, meeting customer demand effectively.

Qualifications

  • Experience in demand planning or inventory planning, ideally within ecommerce or supply chain roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret sales data and forecast demand effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel and relevant software/tools for demand planning.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using sales history, promotions, market trends and customer insights.
  • Convert demand forecasts into purchasing and replenishment plans to ensure stock availability.
  • Manage inventory performance including stock health, stock cover, turnover and excess stock reduction.
  • Support new product launches, seasonal peaks and promotions through demand and supply planning.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly S&OP processes with reporting, risk highlighting and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align forecasts with retailer demand plans and business priorities.
  • Produce and analyze planning KPIs and drive continuous process improvements.
