Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking an Ecologist for one year to deliver ecological planning advice for a district or borough council within Warwickshire, approximately four days a week to cover maternity leave.

You will join a dedicated team of ecology staff and have opportunities to support the Warwickshire Biological Record Centre, carry out ecological surveys, and help shape new nature markets to support investment across Warwickshire as part of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy.

Ecologist(£37,563 -£40,444 pro rata@29.6hours per week/0.8 FTE), Temporary 12 monthsmaternity cover (starting from commencement)

You will be joining a dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced teamcomprising14 ecological officers, five historic environment officers, and two landscape architects.

We are seeking an enthusiastic officerwith good ecological background knowledge. Those with aproventrack recordfor deliveringhigh-qualityplanning advicewill be at an advantage.Currently, this post is for 1 year, butour team is growing andthere is a significant chance that it will be extended with the aim to become permanent.
