Job summary

isepglobal is seeking an Ecologist in Winchester to join a well-established ecological consultancy. You will work on diverse residential, commercial, infrastructure and renewable energy projects, developing technical skills within a supportive team.

The role covers habitat and protected species surveys, ecological reporting, and mitigation, with hybrid working and flexible hours offered. The package includes training and CIEEM membership fees covered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Ecology or closely related subject.
• Previous ecological consultancy experience.
• Experience with habitat and/or protected species surveys.
• Good report writing and IT skills.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Living in or near Winchester, or able to commute to the office.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to habitat and protected species surveys.
• Conduct Preliminary Ecological Appraisals.
• Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and reporting.
• Prepare ecological reports and mitigation plans.
