Job Description

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. We aim for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. We welcome applications from all sections of society.

Are you currently working as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner or about to complete your training? Are you interested in using your skills, knowledge, and expertise in remote and rural communities? An opportunity has arisen to join our motivated and dedicated team serving communities within Skye and Lochalsh across two hospital sites (Broadford and Portree). You would provide care to the population of Skye (approximately 13,000). The region attracts around 1 million tourists annually, making the environment dynamic.

Requirements include having or working towards an MSc in Advanced Practice, with highly developed clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work autonomously. The ability to think on your feet and adapt creatively is desirable. We offer a generous relocation package and opportunities to further develop your skills in advanced practice alongside our Rural Emergency Practitioners. Informal visits are welcome.

The Isle of Skye and Lochalsh are renowned for natural beauty, offering mountains, natural attractions, water activities, a vibrant music scene, cafes, restaurants, and bars, catering to diverse interests.
