Are you ready to develop new generalist skills and build on your experience? Could your nursing skills help us achieve our vision of becoming a centre of excellence in remote and rural healthcare? NHS Orkney seeks an Island Community Nurse to support our team on Westray, providing relief cover.
Stronsay, with a population of approximately 350, is part of the Orcades Practice, serving around 1,943 patients across six island practices. The role involves delivering community healthcare, providing clinical and professional leadership to Band 5 nurses, and working independently in a remote setting. The post includes community and practice nursing responsibilities, emergency cover, and 24-hour on-call duties when on duty.
We invite applications from experienced Band 6 nurses who are motivated, forward-thinking, and possess up-to-date clinical skills. An interest in developing a broad skill set in a remote and rural environment is essential.
