Your new company
We have an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a growing manufacturing business close to Thetford. You will be a key member of the Senior Management Team and will continually review, develop, and improve Health, Safety, and Environmental systems and operations throughout the business.
You will lead and promote a positive Health & Safety culture across the business, supporting the board in all matters relating to EHS. You will provide information, guidance, and advice to all staff on environmental, health, and safety matters, developing and implementing policies, procedures, systems, and training to ensure the business remains compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
You will ensure all risk assessments are current, lead investigations of workplace incidents or accidents, and record, analyze, and review statistics related to near misses and accidents to improve safety standards. Additionally, you will monitor and maintain emission limits with local authorities, water, sewage, and environmental agencies where applicable.
You will oversee subcontractors off-site, manage site first-aiders and fire marshalls, ensuring they are trained and compliant with procedures.
You will hold a Nebosh General Certificate and a Nebosh Diploma (or be working towards it). Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential. You should be a strong communicator capable of engaging with staff at all levels and leading training sessions.
