We are recruiting a Qualification Content Lead - Management Accounting and Performance Management on a full-time, 18-month fixed-term basis. The role offers location flexibility due to our 'digital first' approach.

The QCL leads syllabus and assessment development, ensuring the external examining team delivers innovative, relevant, and rigorous syllabuses and assessments for ACCA's future and current members globally.

The Job

Reporting to the Qualification Content Manager, responsibilities include:

1. Setting clear syllabus and learning outcomes to prepare learners for assessments.
2. Ensuring assessments of the highest quality.
3. Developing assessment models considering content, style, relevance, level, and syllabus coverage.
4. Leading examining team members and liaising on proposed changes.
5. Finalizing assessments at exam panel meetings, ensuring compliance with requirements.
6. Updating examinable documents and producing technical articles on legislative or regulatory changes.
7. Leading marking standardization meetings post-exam sessions.
8. Supporting external examiner selection, training, and feedback.
9. Incorporating professional developments, legislative, and regulatory changes into the syllabus and assessments.
10. Leading as subject matter expert in developing new syllabus and examination content.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

• A professional qualification in accounting with experience in accountancy education.
• Excellent technical knowledge of Management Accounting and Performance Management.
• Strong relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage work volumes and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.

• Excellent communication skills.
