Astute’s Renewables Team are exclusively partnering with Vogelsang, a company that provides cutting-edge technology to clients across the Biogas industry, to recruit for a role in the Glasgow/Edinburgh area.

Responsibilities and duties of the Sales Manager role

Reporting to the Sector Sales Lead you will:

* Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand our market presence within Biogas
* Establish and nurture key customer relationships, taking full ownership of a customer-focused sales strategy to enhance engagement across the region
* Prepare comprehensive technical proposals and cost estimates tailored to client needs
* Establish and nurture key customer relationships, taking full ownership of a customer-focused sales strategy to enhance engagement across regions
* Represent the company at industry events, staying ahead of trends and independently developing new business opportunities
* Capacity to work remotely with autonomy and a proactive mindset
* Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

* A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
* A proven track record in technical sales within the energy, agricultural or renewable industries, with a clear history of meeting or exceeding sales targets
* An existing network of contacts within the biogas industry, providing a strong foundation for business development would be advantageous
* A full UK driver’s license is necessary

Personal skills

The Sales Manager role would suit someone who is:

* Proactive and has the ability to stay self-motivated when working remote
* Someone who is happy to commute to different business in the Biogas sector and build a face-to-face relationship
* Keen to build long term relationships with customers in the sector
* The natural ability to build trust with a range of stakeholders, including plant owners, operators, EPCs, consultants, and trade organisations
