Job summary

Vets Now Hospital in Glasgow is seeking a Diplomate (ECVECC, ACVECC) or Residency trained Emergency & Critical Care Clinician to join our busy private referral hospital on a permanent, part-time basis. The role covers diagnostic investigations, treatment planning for emergencies, ICU care, and teaching duties, with 2–3 days per week and 1 in 4 weekends on call, plus possible flexible patterns.

You will contribute to CPD and hospital rounds, mentoring interns and residents, and support

Qualifications

• A veterinary degree with RCVS registration; EBVS or equivalent boarded specialist, or board eligible.
• Strong communication skills with referring vets, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring or supervising colleagues.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for diagnostic investigations and treatment plans for emergency ECC referrals.
• Provide ongoing ICU care and supervise interns and residents.
• Support critically ill patients from other disciplines when required.
• Contribute to intern and resident teaching and CPD opportunities.
• Participate in in-house CPR training and hospital M&M rounds.
• Assist Edge Teams when possible.
