Job description

For one of our major clients in the technology sector, we are looking for a communicative and customer-focused EMEA Facility Management Director.

What will you do?

As the EMEA FM Director, you will oversee the operational execution of facility management services at client locations across EMEA. You will report directly to the Regional Account Director and collaborate with various departments within CBRE GWS and the client organization.

Your main responsibilities include:

  1. Providing remote supervision to 7 employees, monitoring their training and development, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and overseeing recruitment.
  2. Ensuring consistent execution of facility management services across all EMEA locations.
  3. Overseeing all financial activities related to the sub-region, including P&L performance and cost controls.
  4. Building and maintaining strong partnerships with the client’s Regional Leads.
  5. Generating cross-selling opportunities within other CBRE business lines.
  6. Challenging and improving all aspects of cost and performance.
  7. Demonstrating strategic planning capabilities.
  8. Developing ongoing relationships with the client to understand their needs through effective relationship management.
  9. Utilizing strong communication skills to establish proactive reporting and working styles aligned with client requirements.
  10. Managing daily operational activities, including supplier management, technical services coordination, and facility services.
  11. Acting as the key point of contact for all facility management matters.
  12. Identifying opportunities for cost savings, continuous improvement, and innovation.
  13. Reporting on KPIs and CPIs to measure and improve service performance.
  14. Leading small projects within the client account and supporting other projects and tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate for this role has:
  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in facility management, real estate, or a related field.
  2. Experience in facility management, preferably in a multinational and operational environment.
  3. Excellent influencing techniques at a senior level, strong negotiation skills, and effective networking abilities.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  5. Strong leadership skills, capable of working within a matrix organization.
  6. A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
  7. Fluent English proficiency, both spoken and written; proficiency in another European language is a plus.
