Technical Specification Sales Manager - North and Scotland

Technical Specification Manager – Scotland/North

At Saint-Gobain Glass, we are seeking a Technical Specification Manager to support our SGGUK product range across all stakeholders within the glass and architectural markets. The role involves working on project opportunities and with specifiers, impacting design, procurement, and supply across the UK.

The position also includes managing a small number of commercial accounts. The coverage area is primarily Scotland and the Northeast, requiring travel to various stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support to Saint-Gobain Glass UK customers, across the full product range, ensuring correct specification according to current regulations.
  • Using recognized calculation methods and ensuring accurate, up-to-date data on our products is shared with customers.
  • Building relationships with influencers in architectural markets, including architects, specifiers, technologists, engineers, and contractors, to identify and secure project opportunities.
  • Managing select commercial accounts to support and drive sales.
  • Delivering CPDs to architects and specifiers.

Requirements:

  • Experience in specification sales within the building envelope sector, with technical knowledge of glass specifications.
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and European Standards.
  • Proficiency with technical calculation software and NBS specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting colleagues.
