This role is based at the following site; Culham, Oxfordshire.

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.

As aTechnical Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in providingtechnical administration and coordination dutiesto teams and projects in support of the RRDD(Robotics, Repurposing & Decommissioning Directorate) portfolio, ensuring that Technical Control procedures are followed and proactively work with these procedures, and to maintain accurate and effective documentation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Createand managekey technical documentation.
  • Be accountable for the management and maintenance of SharePoint data and spreadsheet management.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets and create summary dashboard documents for reporting.
  • Support the unit leaders with change management with respect to Technical Control Documents and Work Control Documents.
  • Support the section leaders, group leaders and engineers with the many technical and co-ordination duties involved across the programs.
  • Ensureoperations and technical control procedures are followed and proactively work with these procedures, producing, checking, and validating to maintain accurate “live” documents.
  • Support with recruitment campaigns from an administrative perspective.
  • Assist in maintaining skills matrixes across the directorate.
  • Provide technical secretary duties including organising meetings, taking minutes, creating summary reports and action log follow up.
  • Supportnew starters induction and onboarding.
  • Supportthe early careers members and schemes, including internships, graduates, and apprentices.
  • Provide procurement liaison support, helping across teams to track orders and supporting procurement and delivery to the manufacturing teams.
  • Assist in collating information for key reporting e.g., Directors Reports.
  • Manage skills data processing and management.
  • Support training plans and training records.
  • Maintain organisational charts.
  • Highlight conferences, road shows relevant for technical development.
  • Maintain standards records.
  • Maintain schedule for apprentice placements.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HNC/Apprentice or equivalent in Business, Science or Engineering related discipline.
  • IT literate, fluent in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access and SharePoint.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, networking and influencing skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to and work within a variety of situations.
  • Professional approach to business needs.
  • Abilityto work autonomously, with initiative and minimum supervision.
