Our finance team plays a crucial role in supporting our growth through accurate financial management, reporting and forecasting. Now we re looking for a Financial Accountant to strengthen our financial operations and provide additional capacity alongside our existing team.

About the role

We re looking for a financial accountant who is:

• Detail-oriented and passionate about accuracy
• Comfortable working with cloud-based financial systems
• Eager to contribute to process improvement and automation
• You ll join our in-house finance team, working closely with our Head of Finance and Accounts Assistant to manage our day-to-day financial operations. This is a remote-working role, and we re a fully remote organisation, with more than 100 employees in five countries.

The role is for a minimum of 27.5 hours per week, with a minimum of 4 hours per day Monday to Friday. Flexible working arrangements can be discussed.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the accounts payable function, including processing invoices, setting up payments and maintaining supplier records
• Collaborating with our Client Banking team to ensure accurate revenue recording and accounts receivable reconciliation
• Performing daily bank reconciliations alongside other members of the finance team
• Processing and approving month-end and year-end journal entries
• Supporting the production of monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and margin analysis
• Preparing quarterly VAT reports for review by the Head of Finance
• Providing backup support for payroll processing
• Generating internal financial reports and analysis as needed
• Assisting external accountants with financial statements preparation for year-end filing and audit
• You ll work alongside experienced finance professionals who understand both traditional accounting principles and modern financial technology. We believe in automating repetitive tasks and focusing our energy on value-adding analysis and insights.
