Qualifications

• Connaissance des activités de surveillance de l'eau et de la législation pertinente.
• Expérience de l'échantillonnage et de la surveillance sur le terrain.
• Capacité à passer le certificat médical Sentinel et le certificat de sécurité des voies de Network Rail.

Responsibilities

• Réaliser des échantillons microbiologiques d'eau.
• Effectuer des inspections de conformité Legionella.
• Documenter les observations sur site et communiquer avec les clients.

Water Hygiene Technician

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our Environment and Safety Division. SOCOTEC provides a comprehensive range of water hygiene and consultancy services to help companies fulfil their legal obligations. This is an exciting opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician to join an enthusiastic team based in East Kilbride delivering Water Hygiene / Legionella Control Services. Our network of regional offices provides national coverage, while our in-house accredited laboratories ensure the utmost integrity and quality of results.

We’re looking for a Water Monitoring Technician to join an enthusiastic team, delivering Water Hygiene and Water Monitoring to a prestigious Railway client across Scotland. This is an entry-level position, and relevant training will be provided. Your responsibilities will include:

• Microbiological water sampling
• Legionella temperature monitoring
• Legionella compliance inspections
• Documenting site observations
• Liaising with contractors and clients on site

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Preferably some experience in Water Hygiene tasks (training will be provided if not)
• Knowledge of water monitoring activities and relevant legislation
• Experience of field-based sampling and monitoring
• Excellent organisation and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to pass Sentinel Medical and Network Rail Personal Track Safety (PTS) Certificate

Due to the nature of the work on client sites, a medical assessment and intensive course will be organized by SOCOTEC, in accordance with client medical fitness requirements. This role involves significant daily travel across Scotland.
