Job description

Job Title: Water Monitoring Technician

Join our Environment and Safety Division at SOCOTEC, a leading provider of water hygiene and consultancy services. We are seeking a Water Monitoring Technician to deliver Water Hygiene and Water Monitoring services to a prestigious Railway client across Scotland. This is an entry-level position, and relevant training will be provided.

Responsibilities

1. Carrying out microbiological water sampling
2. Documenting site observations
3. Liaising with contractors and clients on site

Qualifications

• Experience in Water Hygiene tasks (preferred but not essential, training provided)
• Knowledge of water monitoring activities and legislation
• Experience with field sampling and monitoring
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
• Ability to pass Sentinel Medical and Network Rail PTS certification

Additional Requirements

A medical assessment and intensive training course organized by SOCOTEC are required due to client site medical fitness standards. The role involves significant daily travel across Scotland.
