Job title: Graduate Naval Ships Mechanical Engineer
Location: Scotstoun (Glasgow)
We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 4-5days per week.
Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus
What you’ll be doing:
• Capturing and analysing requirements to understand the customer/business needs and the context in which the system will be used.
• Supporting the design and optimisation of system architectures and solutions using system modelling techniques.
• Facilitating successful integration of systems and sub-systems.
• Identifying and mitigating failure modes.
• Supporting the identification of safety hazards and the assessment and mitigation of safety risk.
• Creating high quality written reports and calculations to back up engineering decisions.

The Naval Ships team: we design and build offshore patrol vessels, giant aircraft carrier and provide complex warships including the Type 26 Frigate to the Royal Navy, giving the customer capability to fulfil operations around the world.

Qualification requirements
As a minimum requirement you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or any Mechanical bias degree.
