Position Overview:

Join a growing environmental planning team with diverse and exciting projects transforming society.

We are seeking an experienced environmental planner to join our Environmental & Sustainability team to deliver complex projects across sectors including energy, infrastructure, and development. Our team currently comprises 16 passionate, open-minded professionals across the UK. This role involves leading and delivering environmental planning and sustainability projects, including Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), risk management, design input, coordinating interdisciplinary teams, and stakeholder engagement to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects across UK sectors such as energy, water, and sustainability.
  • Provide consultancy advice to clients and develop relationships.
  • Influence technical delivery within the team and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Engage and lead technical experts and designers on large, complex projects to meet environmental and sustainability objectives.

Office Locations: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Bristol

Qualifications:

  • Experience assisting, coordinating, and leading EIAs and/or SEAs.
  • Degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • Relevant professional memberships/qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and EIA processes.
  • Proven project management skills, ability to meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Client relationship management experience.
  • Proactive problem-solving and passion for sustainability.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
