Job Summary

Making a Difference
Help aircraft fly further, faster, and greener. As a Cyber Security Technician, you will respond to security threats, operate security tools, and collaborate with Security Operations Centre (SOC) providers to manage incidents. Your role involves troubleshooting cybersecurity issues, staying updated on adversaries and techniques, and supporting internal security measures.

This role offers hybrid working, with travel to the nearest GKN Aerospace site and twice-yearly global travel.

How You'll Contribute

• Follow all HSE rules and regulations, wearing PPE as required
• Assist IT/OT teams in monitoring threats and vulnerabilities
• Maintain global cyber controls, operations, and services (24x7)
• Support escalation, response, resolution, and reporting of cyber incidents
• Ensure high service levels, technical controls, and support objectives
• Work effectively as part of a multi-location team
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity processes, standards, and architectures
• Assess IT/OT environments including systems, networks, databases, and applications
• Support maintenance, administration, and health monitoring of cybersecurity tools
• Participate in change management processes related to cybersecurity solutions

What You'll Bring

Essential: Relevant degree or equivalent experience, minimum 5 years in high availability environments, experience in information security, understanding of security protocols, cryptography, and security information and event management, knowledge of system architectures and vulnerability impacts.

Desirable: Knowledge of aerospace regulations, ITIL certification, familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, data protection, network and firewall administration, Cisco CCNA, and certifications like Security+, CEH, or CISSP.
