Tax Assistant Manager - Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory

Base Location: Manchester, the main hub in the North West

This vacancy is for an Assistant Manager in our Corporate Tax Advisory and Compliance ('CTAC') team based in Manchester.

You will work collaboratively to assist in managing tax relationships across a diverse portfolio of clients, providing broad technical experience. You will handle projects covering international tax, treasury tax, group restructuring, tax governance, group reporting, and domestic tax advisory and compliance.

This role is ideal for an Assistant Manager eager to advance their tax career.

What will you be doing?

• Providing corporate tax advice to a broad range of clients to help them achieve their commercial objectives.
• Being a primary contact for a portfolio of clients on daily tax matters (both compliance and advisory), working with Senior Managers and Managers on larger accounts.
• Undertaking tax advisory projects, including UK corporation tax advice, researching technical topics, and collaborating with other UK tax areas and overseas firms.
• Keeping clients informed about emerging corporate and wider tax developments affecting their business.
• Delivering UK corporation tax compliance services.
• Supervising junior staff and providing coaching for their development.
• Assisting Managers and Senior Managers with client account management, ensuring adherence to quality, risk management, and financial procedures.
• Supporting leadership in business development efforts.

What you need

• Experience in UK Corporate Tax Compliance.
• Qualified CTA or ACA / CA or equivalent.
