Are you a Design Manager looking for the next venture in your career?

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are working with a leading client seeking an experienced and driven Design Manager on a contract basis. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with up to three days per week in the Birmingham office.

Our client is a global engineering design and build consultancy, known for delivering sustainable and innovative solutions.

You will join an expert team working on an exciting national grid project, focusing on substation upgrades and extensions, helping shape the future of the national grid network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support the preparation of project proposals by leading presentations and contract negotiations, and support projects from concept to completion.
2. Report regularly on project progress, including costs, procurement issues, potential impacts, and design questions.
3. Maintain relationships with clients, project stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors.

What We Are Looking For:

• Proven experience in a design management role on National Grid Electricity Transmission projects in the UK, with a strong understanding of National Grid procedures.
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership is desirable.
