Job description

Birmingham, AL | Full-time | Transportation | 1 Position Available

Sain Associates is known for our excellent Transportation and Traffic Engineering solutions. We are looking for a Project Manager who will lead our ITS and traffic signal design projects. This person would continue to build Sain's reputation as a leader in Traffic Engineering, while growing our traffic signal and ITS design work throughout the state. The Project Manager would also be available to manage other types of projects such as traffic impact studies and safety evaluations.

Day-to-day Tasks

  • Create proposals, project scopes, and fee estimates for projects, including coordination with internal disciplines and subcontractors
  • Develop and execute the project schedule
  • Track financials and performance of projects
  • Grow ITS work
  • Supervise 1-2 designers

Must Haves

  • Licensed Professional Engineer in good standing
  • 4+ years of Postgraduate Experience in Traffic Engineering, preferably on ITS and/or signal design projects
  • Understanding of traffic operations and conceptual geometric design
  • Working knowledge of the MUTCD
  • Familiarity with access management principles and ITE Trip Generation
  • Experience with CADD software like MicroStation or OpenRoads
  • Familiarity with Synchro or capacity analysis software like HCS
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills with English proficiency
  • Valid Driver's License
