Job Purpose Summary
The main purpose of this role is to provide cost-effective maintenance solutions daily, achieving maximum cost reductions, vehicle availability, and quality.
Job Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Experience as a Service Advisor or in Workshop Management.
- Identify costs and labour associated with repairs, ensuring efficient cost management.
- Resolve issues related to vehicle repairs and maintenance promptly, minimizing downtime and improving VOR performance.
- Understand fleet/vehicle management challenges, including maintenance schedules, repair times, and supplier interactions.
- Anticipate and address potential issues proactively using industry knowledge and experience.
- Collaborate with the Technical Maintenance Controller to deliver cost and service-effective maintenance solutions within budgets and KPIs.
- Coordinate with the Technical Maintenance Control Team to complete jobs.
- Escalate jobs beyond authority limits to a Technical Maintenance Controller.
- Ensure maintenance is cost-effective and quality standards are met by reviewing history and warranties.
- Monitor and report on customer VORs to proactively manage and minimize downtime.
- Check vehicle contracts for collection/delivery entitlements.
- Manage recharges by gathering necessary evidence and liaising with customers for purchase orders.
- Challenge all costs in line with RDA agreements.
- Monitor VOCs and maintain maintenance spend within budgets.
- Assist Coordinators/Supplier Advisors as needed.
- Authorize repairs after verifying vehicle history for warranties, reworks, recharges, or policies.
- Source parts to assist repairs and reduce downtime.
- Resolve supplier issues per RDA guidelines and build effective relationships.
- Coordinate with Regional Engineering Managers when necessary.
- Manage maintenance trends like warranty and component failure.
- Flag credits for supplier/manufacturer failures within the Fleet Management System.
- Manage vehicle downtime proactively in line with KPIs.
- Ensure recharge costs are properly accrued, coded, and communicated to customers, including full details and purchase order numbers.

- IT literate, capable of producing reports in Tableau or Excel to monitor performance.
- Self-motivated with pride in completing tasks.

- Confident interaction with customers and suppliers to build credibility.
- Excellent numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of repair times and parts costs.
- Experience in fleet management or automotive roles dealing with vehicles and third-party suppliers.
- Knowledge of Audatex and Body Shop repair processes.
