Job Requirements

The Application Engineer is responsible for delivering timely, qualified engineering proposals to internal and external customers. This role responds to the engineering and technical needs of sales, procurement, and customers, with a focus on existing and new-product applications in the Air Pollution Control (APC) sector.

This design-oriented role utilizes sound engineering principles to recommend warranty and performance guarantees.

Key Responsibilities

• Support industrial filtration growth aligned with Alkegen’s strategic plan.
• Assist in engineering advancements for product design and application to enhance marketing efforts.
• Evaluate competitive designs.
• Provide technical support, product information, and application recommendations to sales and customers.
• Write detailed technical proposals for clients.
• Manage the performance guarantee process, including approving and signing product warranties.
• Collaborate with teams including Customer Service, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales, NPD, and R&D.
• Represent the company as a technical expert at industry meetings, conferences, site visits, and tradeshows.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ideally 5+ years of relevant experience in industrial air filtration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.
• Technical and application knowledge of APC markets.
• Knowledge of catalysis and ceramic candle filtration is preferred.
• Experience in selecting and proposing filter materials for optimal performance.
• Engineering design experience.
• Proven ability to develop creative, high-quality solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 30%.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to write technical reports in English.
