Job summary

Veolia in Chilton is seeking an EC&I Technician to perform repairs, calibration and maintenance on plant and equipment, including PLC/DCS systems, across site operations.

You will maintain records, diagnose defects, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams while adhering to HSE and quality standards. A recognised apprenticeship with an HNC or equivalent is required, with at least 3 years in a continuous process role.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship and an HNC or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience with maintenance techniques for control systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Minimum 3 years in a continuous process industry; strong communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to work a rota including some weekend work and after-hours on-call.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, calibration and maintenance on plant and equipment including PLC/DCS systems.
• Maintain records of EC&I equipment and maintenance using the Asset Management System.
• Diagnose and remedy plant defects; propose improvements where appropriate.
• Develop modifications to plant and equipment as needed.
• Liaise with operations and maintenance staff; supervise contractors as required.
• Keep workshop and areas clean, safe and well-organised.
• Follow Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures and audits.
