Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an EC&I Quality Inspector to join our client’s team in Barrow on a contract basis, with other sites possibly available. Responsibilities include inspections of EC&I installation activities, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, ITPs, and quality plans.

The role requires 2391 Test & Inspection and strong inspection and documentation skills. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in regulated environments, ability to interpret schematics, and strong

Qualifications

• Inspection experience in EC&I or quality role within a highly regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and inspection techniques.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, loop drawings, and instrumentation drawings.
• Experience managing quality documentation and inspection records.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and quality surveillance of EC&I installation activities.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and ITPs.
• Inspect electrical containment systems, cable installations, terminations, earthing and bonding systems.
• Inspect instrumentation installation activities, including tubing, supports, field devices, and associated control systems.
• Monitor contractor workmanship and adherence to quality requirements.
• Witness inspections and testing activities as defined within quality plans.
• Review and verify construction records, test results, and LTQRs.
• Produce detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate quality records.
