National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects, focusing on EC&I across the Scotland & North region. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure safety, budget, and quality, and drive continuous improvement.

You'll manage contracts and stakeholder relationships, embedding CDM and process-safety requirements while delivering value and regulatory compliance in a safety-critical energy environment.

Formación

• Proven experience delivering engineering, construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of high‑pressure gas transmission assets or similar industrial infrastructure environments.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and risk management.
• Experience managing contracts, with a detailed understanding of NEC4 contract principles and contract administration.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• APMP/NEC4 accreditation and related training in health, safety, environmental and financial management.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects through multidisciplinary teams and delivery partners.
• Manage projects from requirements and technical specs through development, delivery and close-out, ensuring cost, schedule and quality commitments.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers to support planning and delivery.
• Embed health, safety, environmental and process safety requirements across the project lifecycle (CDM duties where assigned).
• Influence project designs to maximise whole-life asset value with buildability and maintainability in mind.
• Oversee contract strategies and contractor performance using NEC contract principles and metrics.
• Monitor project performance, governance, budgets and risks; lead review meetings and drive continuous improvement.
