NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an EC&I Engineer with LV distribution experience for a 12-month contract in the UK. The role combines design, installation and commissioning responsibilities with remote work, requiring just two on-site days per fortnight in Birmingham.

You will produce electrical design deliverables, specify LV switchgear and distribution panels, size cables and protective devices, and ensure compliance with BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations across live

Qualifications

Experience as an EC&I or Electrical Engineer with LV distribution
Strong knowledge of BS 7671 and related electrical standards
Experience producing electrical design deliverables such as SLDs, cable schedules and load schedules

Responsibilities

Producing and reviewing electrical design deliverables for LV switchgear and distribution boards
Specifying LV switchgear, transformers, MCCs and distribution panels
Sizing cables and protective devices per BS 7671 and industry standards
Carrying out earthing and lightning protection design
Liaising with control systems engineers for interface with LV power distribution and instrumentation/controls
Supporting installation supervision, testing and commissioning of LV systems on site
Witnessing FAT/SAT and fault-finding as required
Ensuring compliance with client and statutory standards including IET Wiring Regulations
