Typical Day as a Maintenance Surveyor
  • Carrying out pre and post inspections of repairs on responsive and void properties across the North-East, ensuring high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
  • Providing technical advice to trades, maintenance managers, subcontractors, and suppliers for a high-quality, cost-effective, and compliant service.
  • Managing contracts and progress against building works schedules, using customer insights to meet our customer promise.
  • Handling disrepair cases and assisting customers with damp and mould issues.
  • Measuring materials accurately for a 'right first time' approach.
  • Ensuring void re-servicing is completed to a high standard for quick re-let.
Candidate Requirements
  • Building surveying experience, including property condition and dilapidation surveys, and specifying remedial works.
  • Building Surveying qualification (HND, HNC, or Degree).
  • Ideally RICS, CIOB registration, or working towards it.
  • Knowledge of building repairs, construction, and CDM roles.
  • Ability to manage budgets and control expenditure.
  • A vehicle insured for business purposes (mileage paid).
  • Self-starter, able to work independently and manage your patch effectively.
Team and Work Environment

Join a diverse team that supports your growth. Work Monday to Friday with a flexible schedule, spending some days in Durham office, some at home, and others on-site. Use technology for record-keeping, learning, and collaboration. A Standard DBS check is required, paid for by us.
