Job description

Job title: Finance Officer

Duration: 6 months

Location: A short walk from London Bridge

Pay: £16 - £19 an hour holiday

Start: ASAP

Are you passionate about environmental causes? Do you want to work for a charity that is working towards a safer and cleaner environment? If so, then this Finance Officer role is the ideal role for you.

Working as part of a finance team of 6 people, you will play a significant role in ensuring the quality and timely delivery of the finance team services.

In your role as Finance Officer, your daily duties will include:

1. Processing accounts payable invoices
2. Completing weekly payment runs
3. Completing bank and supplier statement reconciliations
4. Processing grant payments
5. Handling supplier queries

This is a busy and diverse role. The skills you will bring to your role as Finance Officer will include:

• Working knowledge of Sage Tact
• Knowledge of debits vs credits and double-entry bookkeeping
• Good understanding of Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs
• Knowledge of grant-making charities will be hugely advantageous
