Role Overview:

KPMG UK seeks a Senior GenAI Engineer to join our Data & AI team. This role involves developing and deploying generative AI models, supporting client projects, and collaborating to create impactful AI solutions. You will design AI systems, manage teams, and ensure effective integration of AI models into client environments, while maintaining data governance and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement generative AI models to solve client challenges. Collaborate with senior AI engineers and data scientists to create solutions aligned with business goals. Participate in creating PoCs, MVPs, and full AI projects to generate business impact.
2. Client Project Delivery & Team Management: Support AI solution delivery, ensure successful and timely outcomes. Manage and mentor AI engineers and data scientists, guiding them through project phases. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure smooth implementation.
3. Coding & Implementation: Develop and optimize AI models, ensuring high-quality, production-ready code. Use tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, and Snowflake for deployment in cloud environments. Manage AI model integration, version control, and CI/CD processes.
4. Data Management & Integration: Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure seamless data flow and management for AI development. Maintain data quality, security, and privacy in compliance with governance policies.
5. Business Development & Practice Building: Identify AI opportunities, support feasibility studies, and develop tailored data strategies. Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and demos to showcase AI value. Help expand KPMG's AI capabilities with innovative ideas.
6. Ethical and Secure AI Deployment: Ensure AI models and data processing comply with governance policies and regulations. Implement best practices for data privacy, security, and ethical AI, especially with sensitive data. Contribute to developing guidelines for secure data handling in AI projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant professional experience or certifications in AI/ML are considered. Advanced coursework or certifications are a plus.
• Work Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML with experience in developing and deploying generative AI solutions. Proven experience with LLMs like GPT, BERT, and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
• Skills: Expertise in designing and coding generative AI models, prompt engineering, AI/ML algorithms, model optimization, and deployment in cloud environments. Proficiency with version control, Docker, and data engineering tools. Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills to mentor junior team members.
