Role Overview:
KPMG UK seeks a Senior GenAI Engineer to join our Data & AI team. You will contribute to the development and deployment of generative AI models, support client projects, and collaborate on impactful AI solutions. You will design AI systems, manage teams, and ensure seamless AI model integration into client environments, adhering to data governance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and implement generative AI models to solve client challenges. Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists to align solutions with business goals. Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs), MVPs, and full AI projects that deliver business value.
- Client Project Delivery & Team Management: Support AI solution delivery, ensuring successful and timely outcomes. Mentor AI engineers and data scientists, guiding them through project phases. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and implement AI models effectively.
- Coding & Implementation: Develop and optimize high-quality AI models. Use tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, and Snowflake for deployment in cloud environments. Manage AI model integration, version control, and CI/CD processes.
- Data Management & Integration: Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data flow, quality, and security. Integrate AI models into existing data pipelines, following best practices for data governance and privacy.
- Business Development & Practice Building: Identify AI opportunities, support feasibility studies, and develop data strategies. Contribute to RFPs, proposals, and demos. Help grow KPMG's AI capabilities by introducing innovative ideas.
- Ethical and Secure AI Deployment: Ensure AI models comply with data governance policies and regulations. Implement data privacy, security, and ethical AI practices. Develop guidelines for secure data handling in AI projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related fields preferred. Equivalent professional experience or certifications in AI/ML are also valuable.

- Work Experience: 5+ years in AI/ML, with focus on generative AI solutions. Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT, BERT. Proficiency in AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
- Skills: Expertise in designing, coding, and prompt engineering for LLMs. Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms, deployment, version control, and data engineering tools. Excellent leadership and communication skills for mentoring teams.
