Job Description:

Ashley Kate Finance is working with a valued client to recruit a Part-Time Finance Assistant to support their busy finance function. This role is ideal for someone with keen attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth AP and AR operations. The position offers flexibility and the opportunity to be part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Managing payments via Sage and banking platforms
  • Maintaining supplier records and reconciling accounts
  • Investigating and resolving invoice queries
  • Managing customer collections and statements
  • Chasing overdue payments by phone and email
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve queries
  • Escalating overdue accounts as necessary
  • Performing weekly reconciliations for GBP, USD, and EUR accounts
  • Supporting month-end processes
  • Performing ad hoc finance tasks as needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting software
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
