About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Network Support Engineer to join our IT team here at Harrods. You will provide technical support for Harrods’ Data Network across LAN, WAN, Wireless, Security, and SDA environments.

Responsibilities

1. Implement, promote, and enforce standards, safeguards, and procedures concerning the technical architecture of the Cisco Core Networking layer across multiple sites, WAN environments, considering newer Software Defined technologies, Security layers, and Load balancing environments using industry best practices.
2. Review advances in Networking and Security practices in line with PCI DSS.
3. Ensure adoption of Change Project Office standards and other governance practices across all areas.
4. Ensure maximum service availability and performance through proactive monitoring, reporting, and continuous improvement of services and processes.
5. Implement security solutions and practices to mitigate risks and threats within the environment.

About You

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in LAN & WAN – CCNP Level in Cisco technologies, with demonstrable knowledge of Cisco Switching (Nexus 9K series, Nexus 7K series & Catalyst 9000 Series), VLAN, STP, VPC, QoS, Overlay technologies, Multicast. A strong understanding of NAC & role-based access control, configuration, deployment, and routing capabilities is essential.

You should also have:

• Experience in wireless networking and security layers.
• Good understanding of VPN technologies.
• Knowledge of Cloud – Public/Private/Hybrid.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Great attention to detail.
• The ability to design optimal solutions.
