Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £36,408 (includes £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Flexible working: We offer full-time, part-time, and compressed hours. Due to the nature of the work, hybrid working may be limited, with around 20% home working depending on business needs.

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will work with a close-knit team to protect our organization against cyber threats such as malware outbreaks, insider activity, denial-of-service attacks, and phishing. Your role involves detecting, responding to, and mitigating risks, collaborating with technical teams, and developing your skills in defensive strategies for operational infrastructure. Your day may include reviewing recent events, analyzing alerts, logs, network traffic, or endpoint data using tools like Splunk, and developing detection content. You will also utilize threat intelligence to proactively enhance security and take swift action during incidents. Opportunities to explore Digital Forensics will also be available.
You should have a passion for IT and cybersecurity, experience with scripting, understanding of Windows and Linux OS, and familiarity with Python. Interest in developing skills in AWS and Azure is desirable. You need a cybersecurity certification or foundation-level education (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, OffSec, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH) or 6 months experience in cybersecurity. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Starting salary: £36,408 plus benefits including 25-30 days annual leave, public holidays, performance recognition, interest-free season ticket loan, pension scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, on-site facilities, and parental leave.
