Job Details
  • Job Title: Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
  • Home Type: 6 Bedded EBD home (4 YPs) therapeutic PACE approach
  • Location: WV5
  • Package: GBP33,156 - GBP36,148.80 p/a (based on 6-8 sleep-ins per month)
  • Enhanced Overtime: +GBP2.50 per hour!
  • Christmas bonus of up to GBP600 in your November payslip!
  • Private Healthcare contributions & free counselling
  • Contract: Full time, sleeps required
  • Shift pattern: 7:30-23:00, 2 on 4 off, 10x15.5hr shifts per month
About the Organisation

Join this Outstanding Ofsted rated SEMH Children's Home! Located in Wombourne, just 5 miles from Wolverhampton, home to four young people aged 13-17. The home has been operational since last April and hasn't had a single incident in history. The young people are settled, in full-time education, and engaging in activities like walks in National Trust parks and theme parks with Merlin Passes.

The organisation is owned by an experienced Clinical Psychologist specializing in trauma, neglect, and neurodiversity, who pioneered a therapeutic intervention platform used in schools nationwide.

Package & Benefits
  • Basic pay: GBP15.25 - GBP16 per hour, plus GBP66.55 per sleep-in
  • Estimated package: up to GBP36,148.80 annually, based on 8 sleep-ins per month
  • Enhanced Overtime Rate: +GBP2.50 per hour after 186 hours worked
  • Christmas Bonus: Up to GBP600 per year based on Ofsted performance

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Children's Residential Support Worker, you will lead and support your team, ensuring smooth home operation and delivering exceptional care for young people.

Candidate Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in a children's home environment
  • Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
  • Flexibility to work the shift pattern, including sleep-ins
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people's wellbeing and development
