World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops, and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for manufacturing electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for diabetes management. The Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility, producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors annually, meeting stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal systems.

The Operations Systems Engineering team provides software and hardware integrated solutions to support the manufacture and testing of the Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring sensor and Blood Glucose Measurement strip. Collaborating with teams across Quality Assurance, Operations, Technical Investigation, R&D, product software design, and Third Party Manufacturing, the team delivers top-tier system solutions within an Agile SCRUM/DevOps framework. These solutions range from embedded firmware to database design and data analytics reporting tools within a highly regulated environment.

As our portfolio of systems grows, and our culture matures towards greater agility, we are expanding our software development team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to help product owners define technical requirements.
  • Develop software solutions (C#) aligned with project priorities.
  • Manage and update the DevOps sprint backlog.
  • Participate actively in all SCRUM ceremonies.
  • Work with engineers to manage the Business As Usual backlog.
About You

You are an enthusiastic C#/.NET developer eager to grow. You have a passion for software engineering and enjoy working in a team to deliver well-organized, efficient code within a Test Driven Development environment. You have experience delivering software, preferably within a Systems team in a Medical Device or similarly regulated setting. You are a dedicated and enthusiastic technologist interested in manufacturing and business systems. You thrive in a team of skilled engineers but also value contributing your individual work.
