Abbott Diabetes Care, a world leader in blood glucose monitoring, designs, develops, and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. Our Centre of Excellence in Witney specializes in the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for diabetes management. The Operations group, our largest team in Witney, produces high volumes of test strips and biosensors annually, adhering to strict quality standards demanded by European, US authorities, and our internal quality systems.

The Operations Systems Engineering team provides integrated software and hardware solutions to support the manufacture and testing of the Libre Continuous Glucose Monitoring sensor and Blood Glucose Measurement strip. Collaborating with teams across Quality Assurance, Operations, Technical Investigation, R&D, and product software design, the team delivers top-tier solutions within an Agile SCRUM/DevOps framework, supporting these product lines. The team handles end-to-end solutions, from embedded firmware to database design and data analytics/reporting tools within a highly regulated environment.

As our portfolio of systems grows and our culture matures towards agility, we seek to expand our software development team.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to define technical requirements for products.
• Develop software solutions in C# in line with project priorities.
• Manage and update the DevOps sprint backlog.
• Participate actively in all SCRUM ceremonies.
• Assist in managing the Business As Usual backlog alongside other engineers.

About You

You are an enthusiastic C#/.NET developer eager to grow your skills. You have a passion for software engineering and enjoy working in a team to deliver well-organized, efficient solutions using Test Driven Development. Ideally, you have experience delivering software within a regulated environment, such as Medical Devices. You are a dedicated technologist interested in manufacturing and business systems, thriving both in a team of skilled engineers and in contributing your own ideas.
