Job summary

Fortel is seeking an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to join our civil engineering team on site. You will oversee structures, earthworks and general construction operations, ensuring safety, quality and progress against programme.

The role requires hands-on leadership, ability to coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant and materials, and to cover duties across multiple fronts when colleagues are absent. Applicants must hold CSCS Gold or Black and SSSTS, with a strong civils background.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day civils activities including structures, earthworks, drainage, and general construction tasks
• Coordinate labour, subcontractors, plant, and materials to ensure works progress safely and efficiently
• Support the delivery of planned works in line with programme requirements
• Assist with daily briefings, task allocations, and on-site coordination
• Monitor work quality, productivity, and adherence to specifications
• Maintain communication with site management, engineers, and other supervisors
• Provide cover across multiple work fronts when team members are absent

Hours: 7:00am-18:00 12 days on 2 days off every other weekend off
