Job summary

GTG Training is recruiting an Apprentice Parts Technician for an independent garage in Kirknewton, Livingston. This Modern Apprenticeship lets you work full-time and earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in parts handling and customer service within a busy garage.

You will learn how to receive and dispatch parts, advise customers, order parts, and use computer systems, with emphasis on developing practical motor vehicle knowledge and sales skills.

Qualifications

• National 4 English and Maths or higher required.
• Admin or Computer Studies helpful but not essential.
• Personal qualities include motivation, initiative and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and dispatching parts.
• Dealing with customer enquiries.
• Sourcing parts for customers and technical staff.
• Based in a parts department, giving customer advice, ordering parts and updating computer systems.
